Paul Meier, born in 1893, was a businessman with a wealth of ideas. In 1940, he set up the Agency for Private Schools as an independent source of advice for parents who were looking for private education for their children.
In those days, a spell in a boarding school in Western Switzerland was a matter of good form for young ladies. Representing schools of that sort, Paul Meier traveled to meet clients with an interest in them and advised them on how to choose the right one.
